I still continue to us DEVHUB to occasionally build a web site or two…. With lots of ways to monetize the domain, DEVHUB has proven to be a valuable tool for those with good names who are seeking to monetize their traffic. We like it so much, we’ve got their banner right on our site. Here are some examples of DEVHUB sites: BeerHelmets.com, DebtReps.com, and TowelStore.com. If you haven’t tried DEVHUB, you should really give it a shot.
Have a great day everyone!

Finding good domains that are unregistered is hard. Really hard! I recently picked up some that I’ll share with you. Are these great names? Well, I think so….
Over time, it seems like I’ve developed a gut instinct on good versus bad domains…. While surfing/searching I came across SouthDakotaTowns.com… Estibot says it’s worth a little over $200, but I disagree with that assessment…. All “state/towns” domains are now all taken. Yep, you guessed it, I registered the very last one…
Other domains I hand registered include: TeenItems.com, IVSet.com, CowboyTies.com, and CornZipper.com….. Believe it or not, I’ve almost recouped my registration fees on all of these! Honestly, I would’ve thought domain tasting would’ve zapped all of them, but not this time…. These names are all descriptive domains in the market place and have relevant advertising to boot. An IV Set is what nurses use to plug patients with fluid, for example…. IV’s usually come in packages as a set, so this one makes sense to me…. The othere are pretty self explanatory….
I’ve been playing around with the WhyPark.com platform and set up OnlineBSN.com. I must say that I really like WhyPark for it’s quick setup and ability to add custom pages on the fly. This domain gets about 50 type ins a month and with WhyPark and some custom content I’m hoping to move it into the 1000 a month range. I’ll let you know how it goes. Other whypark sites include LaserBook.com, CollegeToolBox.com, and BlondFashion.com, LeanRecipes.com, and GermanSouvenirs.com.

TRAFFIC (Latonas.com) Auction Results
While Latona’s auction platform was struggling, I was able to catch some of the results. If I got one of these wrong, please feel free to chime in and correct me. Again, I honestly think Rick Latona did the right thing by stopping the action. Here they are:
Got a little distracted with all the chaos on the floor, so I’m sure I missed several “SOLD” domains. Have a great evening everyone and good luck Rick! We will update the list at TRAFFIC as information becomes available. Again, good luck to the Latona Team!
Rick Latona has halted the “live” bidding action at TRAFFIC Las Vegas this evening. He was
experiencing glitches with his new on live auction platform that drove him to cease and desist on all auctions. The bidding will resume at 10 A.M. in the morning. I was registered to bid and I have to say there was more than a 5 or 10 second delay. It was more like a forever delay! They attempted to process calls through a variety of people’s cell phones, but if the number was busy, you had to call a different number, which apparently wasn’t working out too well. In retrospect, Rick did the right thing and halted the action. Hopefully, he’ll get it up an running tonight so they can play it out tomorrow afternoon. Good luck Rick!

What’s up with NamePros? Namepros is a very good bulletin board service who’s recently been subject to sever down time. I post there quite often, but I tell ya, lately they just can’t seem to keep their site up and running. That’s not a good thing if you’re going to try and maintain credibility with your audience. I think they probably need to start thinking about managed hosting. When a web site gets this big and maintains such a large following, it’s probably time to start thinking about a different solution.
Experimenting lately with WhyPark.com with pretty good results. I just set up LeanRecipes.com using the Why Park platform and I have to say the site is slightly more exciting than a parked page. Why Park is now owned by Parked.com by the way. So, if you’ve been a customer of Parked, you may want to give Why Park a try. I think it’s important to do some SEO optimization and original content though. This will ensure you get indexed in the search engines. Before embarking on your WhyPark site, be sure you have an implementation strategy in mind. Here are some other examples of my WhyPark sites:
Adding BermudaWomen.com and GreenlandGirls.com to our sales area. These names are really good and I’ve included search stats on the Sales page. Expect these to go quick. Have a great day!
Boy, we saw a big sale this week on CookingGames.com at $350K. It was really big in a DOWN economy, but worth it to the end users who run a network of game related sites. The buyers apparently own StickGames.com which they forked out $100K for. Game-related web sites draw big crowds of users who come back time and again. It helps if you can secure the number one ranking on search results. Securing the primary keywords within the domain definitely helps the cause here. With almost a million searches a month at Google, I’d look for the web site CookingGames.com to be ranked #1 in Google search results in the coming months. A very big reason I bought CommercialArt.com! The keywords are nothing short of amazing on your quest to big rankings. Still, as an investor in domains, I have to wonder why they didn’t go after the big boy…. Arcade.com? That one has over 9 million searches a month and would most likely have garnered triple the traffic. Ok, Arcade.com is priced heavy, but they might’ve gotten the sellers to give it up at a discount premium. I wonder if they tried? Have a great weekend everyone!
